hello once again..
i will try to give you a short look
on my music way since when i was born
until today..
so..
i was born in 1977..just 2 month's before
King Elvis died..but hi is not the issue here..
u know..i do not mind to listen a little bitt of rock&roll sometimes but..common! ;)
..anyway..
i did not realize that somewhere in Uk
Sting was about to set up the Police..
but he and his music will come into my life
later ..obviously i just simply can not
remember first few years of my life..
but i'm 100% sure that all time long
polish Radio 3 have been going through at my home..my mather listen this radio station
every day till now..
in 80's when i was growing up, this station
was a main source of music..
my father and my older brother and me-later on..we're all was recording a sounds from
this radio on tape's..
..till i was not old enough to have my own tapes and a player i have been listening this what my parents and my brother ..
..and from those years i remember
few band's very well..
first of all The Beatles
then Lady Pank
and Jean Michele Jarre...
i do remember that i have been listen this a lot..
today i'm not coming back to them very often but on this time what we talking about i was inside..
..i love Lady Pank till today.
.my favorite is a "LP 3 " album..
The Beatles was very original.. they was a complitely different then the other's..
and that is what i looking for in music..
Jean Michale was something more then only a music..his sound's was opening my young mind for a different horizont's..
this unreal world what he have been creating
was so friendly to me..
i do remember that i enjoyed to do my home works listening his music..
i was living with my older brother in the same
room until when i was 14..
so i can say this that he was my music teacher through this time
..rock music most of all..
..a lot of polish rock band's..
Lech Janerka ..that's the man who wrote
hismself onto my music book.
.my father 'been listening Edyta Gepert very often..
my mather enjoyed to listen a opera
singer's like Pavarotti or classical music
like Demis Russos..
and in the same time sometime on 1987
when my father bought to me my first
tape player i've started to listen
a disco music !!!
yeah i was a disco man !!!
sick..
but that's true..
Modern Talking..Blue System..Sandra..Milli Vanilli and many many more simular people from all around the world ..
i remember as now..that
"you can win if you want"
by Modern Talking
was a very first song what make me think
about the english lyrics.
.i mean i did not know english at all..
and that's first lyrics
what i've translated to myself..
and that's how i've started to learn this language..
that's simple and good lyrics by the way ;)..
..metal..progressive rock and jazz
was around my head as well..
but i did not really like it than..
even more ..
i was like..
i never will listening a jazz !!
..that's imposible!!
..they're making a lot of noise!!
there is no rules!
..i was saying..
unconscious that this is what i actually
looking for..
but jazz will come many years later!!..
too finish a 80's..
there was a lot of band's through those years
just have a look on popular top 20's
or any other compilation..
there is planty of groups playing very good rock music..
Toto ..this gays rules !!
that's my favorite rock band from where my personal favorite guitarist
S.Lukather come from..
..all right ..
we're entering to 90's yet..
Faith No More and "The Real Thing"
..this rock band
changed my view..
my way get back on the track from disco and all about this..
i just started to recorded a lot of that kind
of music on my tapes with disco..
and generally pop culture..
and probobly like many others on my age
i've found in this music some
kind of possitive agression..
Soundgarden..Nirvana.
and first of all my lovely Living Colour..
i will recomend those gays to everyone..
so if you do not know them..
u need to change it !! :)..
and i think Sting get into my life with
his sound's..
"Nothing like the sun"
is the first Sting lp's what i've ever been
listening to..
and this was like a good joint..
once you smoke it ..you want more..
am i right ;)..
yeah !..
SO...
sting and the Police mean's a lot to me..
this music is over the basic rules
..you know what i'm saying..
and that's the moment when
i've took a bass to my hand
and start to try to play..
in the meantime i've growed up to Mettalica
and generally matal music..
i've loved Anthrax..Megadeth..Slayer..!!
yeah man!?
from Modern Talking to Slayer
within few week's..
i do not belive it myself..
one day when i was 16 my friend
from my school land me a tape..
with typical : try this..
Hard Corps is the name of the band
and the title is "Def before dishonor"
..those days i've spend to listening this tape everywhere i could..i've found sth different
then a rock ..that's kind of fusion..
good nice heavy guitars
good flow from the mic's
..funky bass ..with elements of
soul and gospel..
there is not to much that kind of music
recorded on those years..
and i think by this way hip hop showed
himself in my life..
Hause of Pain..Public Enamy..Run DMC..
Onyx..Dogg Pound..Naughty By nature
and few more
are my favorite from this time
in secondary school..
my RIP best friend Sebastian gave me a tape
saying :
you will like it..i'm sure that yes..
Rage Against the Machine
first album..
that was like "bullet in my head"
...that's it..
i've learned to play every single song
from this tape very shortly..
and in the same time my brother
recorded from somewhere
"Bring on the night" by Sting..
and that's how jazz through the rock came to me..and that's another nice fusion..
and from this moment everything what was against the basic rules
i mean pop,jazz.rock,rap and etc.
was interesting to me..
i was not conscious that fusion will be
my favorite way today..
but jazz as a jazz still was out of me..
progressssive rock started to knock
through my door's..
Dream Theater start the show..
in the meantime King Crimson with his
"The Court.." made me stop complitely..
but i remember that i've started to listen
this lp's from second song.."21 Century.."
was still to difficult to me..
but Epithath took me there when i was goin to..!!
yeah progressssive..
i've moved to biger city follow to my brother..
96-97 every one arround started to listening
hip hop and rap music..
i get into as well,
but in the same time progressive was happen anyway..
there is no real hip hop today so i only comin back and listening a classic's..
but let's back to the subject..
Yes..Rush..Pink Floyd..Led Zeppelin..Kansas..U2..
Peter Gabriel..Gennesis..and few more..
that's the end of my 90's
..
fuckin 2000..!!
a lot of shit was happen
but i've seen Dream Theater live
in Bydgoszcz in Poland
on the day when my friend died in the hospital..
this music bacame to my favorite..
"Scanes from memory"
changed my view on rock music complitely..
what is so amazing about Dream Theater
that i've prefer to watch them life
then to listen on cd's..
and through those day's i've started
to watch a music live..
in pub's of Poznan in Poland i meet a jazz..
yeah..
after quite few years i've started
to enjoy a jazz music..
the main reason what was making me
feel so good watching the band's live
was that planty of times this music was
creating on this very moment..
very often with no rules..
absolutely free..
and than i've started to recognize
thames from my kids life..
the sound's what i was calling a noise...
now they're start to be a
food to my mind..
someone will say..ok..
but..
when you're listening that many different
styles you actually do not know about
individual one to much..
but i will say..
like my friend Ana set to me the other day
that :
....it's so good to going through
by many different way's
in the same time..
that must be exiting...
it is .. :)
...but before this
on one of the typical sunday's at work
..through shoping chaos
( i've use to work as a salesman in shops )
my friend on stand with music
was listening some band from Iceland
..that was 2002
..the name is Sigur Ros
...i was like whoou!!
mysterious..
not from here..
out of every rules what i knew so far..
i think that they're
my personal no.1
i've seen them twice so far
..there is so much possitive feeling's going
from this music..
you just simply need to be good listening this..
they're amazing..!!
..2004/05/06..
that's explosion of jazz and funk ..Marcus Miller ..Wojtek Pilichowski..Stanley Clarke..Jaco Pastorius..Mark King ..John Scofield Band..Victor Wooten..Dave Mathews Band..
that's only few from many
what i like to listening..
..sometime than i've start to listen a classical music as well..
i've just had a luck
that i had good friend's arround me..
..but within last few years
i feel like nothing new come to the light..
you know what i'm sayin..
it's so hard to find sth oryginal
..pop to campare
to the 80's and 90's is a crap..
rock and roll is dead ..
don't you think..?
..yeah!!!!
and here i'm..
jazz and funk..
and progressssive..
and the best
is
when all of this
is in
FUSION !!
take care everyone's :)
